Smart ThinkingExceptional Outcomes

Chikarovski & Associates is a government relations, community engagement and stakeholder relations consultancy founded in 2003 by former NSW Liberal leader, Kerry ‘Chika’ Chikarovski.

We specialise in collaborative consultation and negotiation to achieve bureaucratic cut-through that delivers pragmatic outcomes across a wide range of industries including financial, government, community, property and tech startups.

At the core of Chikarovski & Associates is firsthand government knowledge and experience paired with media and community relations expertise. This is overlaid with a process that engages with the people behind the community, corporation or bureaucracy at the table. Our consultation works because experience and expertise leveraged with a human touch is a powerful combination.

We are results-oriented and outcome-driven to ensure you attain the most from important meetings and conversations.

In 2019 we are led by Kerry and her daughter, Lisa Chikarovski, who has more than a decade of experience working in high profile strategic communications roles and community relations for large infrastructure projects, having led the team at Roads and Maritime Services responsible for community engagement on some large projects in NSW including the North Connex and WestConnex motorways. Prior to this Lisa also held managerial roles in media relations and public affairs with both NPS MedicineWise and the Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia (ASFA).

Lisa Chikarovski

Director, Chikarovski & Associates

Lisa Chikarovski is a policy strategist and communications expert with significant experience in media relations, community engagement and public affairs. After a decade-long career in the transport, finance and government sectors, including as a media advisor to the Hon. Joe Hockey, Lisa launched Chikarovski Consulting in 2017, which works closely with Chikarovski & Associates to provide a fully integrated government and stakeholder management service to support clients with their communications and public affairs needs throughout the life cycle of their projects.

Prior to starting Chikarovski Consulting, Lisa led the engagement team responsible for the suite of Sydney’s motorways, working on large and complex projects such as the WestConnex and NorthConnex motorways. Pivotal to this was designing and implementing a new resident-centric approach to property acquisition, which proved so successful that Lisa was asked to help establish the Centre for Property Acquisition, training a range of property acquisition practitioners to be more empathetic and considerate in their approach.

Earlier in her career she worked with not-for-profit NPS MedicineWise, where she was responsible for government relations, policy, media and community strategy and then spent several years in the finance sector, managing the media and public affairs teams at the Association of Super Funds Australia and BT Financial Group.

With a commitment to authentic stakeholder consultation, with key skills in listening, developing trust and collaborative decision-making, Lisa strives to find synergies between community interests and policy and governance for the benefit of society.

A lifelong horse lover, Lisa indulges her passion for riding and dressage at least three times a week and competes regularly. She is also a proud Mum of son JJ.
